ADL-Care Ambassador Course

Overview

This ADL-Care Ambassador Course provides learners with the essential knowledge and appropriate skillset to effectively support and/or enhance the care and performance of the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for individuals with conditions compromising their self-care routines.

Learning Objectives
The course aims to equip learners with the following knowledge and skillset for personalized ADL care & support:

  • Communication of ADL procedures to stakeholders
  • Preparation of care recipients & tools for ADLs
  • Execution of ADLs considering care recipients’ privacy & dignity
  • Infection control & waste disposal protocols
  • Documentation & reporting of care recipients’ condition & changes
  • Emergencies responses with first aid & Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

Entry Requirements

  • 21 years and above
  • Secondary qualification and/or a proficiency level equivalent to ES WPLN Level 4.
  • Minimum 3 months working experience & motivated to learn
